Much has changed since the last blog post, it turns out I am not so sure that I am a blogger or want to blog but am going to give it another go. I have retired from my private practice and all teaching and have settled into a life of creative puttering, travel, time with family and beginning to harvest my life and experiences. I hope to begin to share information here about self care, resilience, art therapy and creating. My husband and I are about to embark on a 3 month creative safari to places warmer than where we live. We do not have an exact agenda or travel itinerary but will let the journey unfold. We spent 3 months last year doing just that. It was a wonderful experience, we learned a lot about traveling in an RV ( which we had never done before) with 2 cats, some art supplies and a sense of adventure. We came home to a covid lockdown in our state, my 88 year old mother getting covid and surviving, both of our cats dying within a month of each other and a sense that the whole world had changed while we were off on our adventure. This time we are leaving in the midst of the pandemic hoping to be able to continue our practices of socially distancing, mask wearing etc to stay healthy. We have 2 new kittens which were feral rescues and have turned into wonderfully sweet companions. So here we go, and stay tuned.
